Anne Klein has been passionate for felines since her first cat 'Monkey' came into her life as a young adult. Since then, she has been the proud parent to several cats some which are proudly shown below. For the past seventeen years, she owned and operated Backdoor Friends Cat Shoppe which featured a luxury cat hotel and a boutique retail store. Prior to that, Anne spent many years in the data processing arena supporting a variety of General Motors personnel systems. The store and cat hotel was recently closed in order to devote more time to the home based pet care business. Anne and her Backdoor Friends Cat Care staff, have cared for hundreds of hotel guests and have experienced a variety of cat personalities. "We have welcomed gentle cats, shy cats, aggressive cats, young and old cats, tiny cats, jumbo cats, etc. We loved them all and learned something unique about cat behavior from each one."
Along with the experience of handling and caring for hundreds of cats over the years, Anne organized a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation named Backdoor Friends Purebred Cat Rescue which has rescued and re-homed hundreds of displaced felines.
